Maryon Wilson Park

A hidden gem in Charlton, Maryon Wilson Park is a wild, hilly green space with a small animal enclosure housing deer, llamas, and goats that children find absolutely irresistible. The park is less groomed than its neighbours which gives it a magical, slightly secret feel — steep wooded paths, open meadows, and a lovely pond. The animal enclosure is the main draw and access is free. It connects directly to the adjacent Maryon Park (the filming location of Antonioni's Blowup) and is best visited mid-week to avoid crowds.
