RSPB Rainham Marshes

RSPB Rainham Marshes is a spectacular ancient marshland reserve on the Thames, rescued from use as a military firing range and now one of the best places near London to see wetland wildlife. Families love the elevated boardwalk trails, the adventure playground, pond-dipping sessions, and the modern visitor centre with a café overlooking the marsh. Look out for kestrels, marsh frogs, water voles, and huge flocks of wintering wildfowl.
